Postpartum emotional support is a big part of what Breathe and Bloom Co. offers. Along with hands-on care, I bring a calm, understanding presence into your home in Sacramento.
Becoming a parent brings joy. Still, it can also bring worry, tears and exhaustion. All of those feelings are normal, and you deserve support through them.

What postpartum emotional support looks like
- A kind ear when you want to talk about your birth or your day
- Reassurance as you learn your baby's cues
- Encouragement to rest and accept help
- Respect for your choices as a parent
- A steady, calm presence in your home
Rest is part of postpartum emotional support
When you are short on sleep, everything feels harder. That is why overnight support and emotional care go hand in hand. With more rest, many parents feel more like themselves.
Also, small things add up. A warm meal, a clean bottle and a quiet moment can lift your mood.
When to reach out for more help
A doula is not a therapist or a medical provider. If you feel sad, anxious or hopeless most days, or you have scary thoughts, please call your doctor right away. You can also reach Postpartum Support International for free support and resources. In an emergency, call 911.
Feelings you might notice
Many parents feel a mix of things in the first weeks. For example, you may feel happy one moment and teary the next. You may also worry about doing things right. Because these feelings are common, it helps to say them out loud.
So I listen without judgment. Then I remind you that you are learning, and that asking for help is a strength.
You deserve care too
