Dajahane Lewis, full spectrum doula

Hi, I’m Dajahane, a mother of two and a certified full spectrum doula specializing in postpartum support in Sacramento and the surrounding areas.

I began my doula work in 2026, while building on several years of caring for infants in daycare and home settings. Through Breathe & Bloom, I support families with newborn care, rest, feeding, nourishing meals and the emotional adjustments of welcoming a baby.

As a result, my approach is warm, patient and personal. First, I take time to understand your family, so the care I provide feels supportive, comfortable and right for you.

What brought me to birth work

My own postpartum experiences brought me to this work, because although I had my partner’s love and support, we were both exhausted, physically and emotionally. Between frequent newborn wake-ups, caring for our family and trying to care for ourselves, even preparing a nourishing meal could feel overwhelming. We had each other, but we still needed more support around us.

After experiencing that with both of my children, I began looking into how families could receive the care we had needed. Eventually, that search led me to doula work. Today, I want to help other parents feel less alone. I also want to give them space to recover, rest and enjoy their babies, with someone caring for them, too.

Why I do this work as a full spectrum doula

I love being someone a family can exhale around. Sometimes that means holding their baby while they sleep. Other times it means preparing a meal, listening without judgment, or reassuring them as they learn something new. Over time, those moments of care can make a meaningful difference in how supported a parent feels.

I believe every family deserves to feel heard, respected and supported throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Parents deserve care that honors their choices, welcomes their questions and makes room for their emotional well-being alongside their physical recovery. Above all, they deserve a village as they find their way through this new chapter.

I love being someone a family can exhale around.

What I bring as your full spectrum doula

Above all, I bring a calm presence, a listening ear and practical support that adapts to your family’s needs. As a full spectrum doula with a focus on postpartum care, I offer encouragement, education and space to talk through questions and feelings without judgment.

My hands-on support includes daytime and overnight newborn care, help with feeding and soothing, support with rest and routines, meal preparation and light household tasks. I also have experience caring for twins, so I understand the extra hands and patience that families with multiples may need.

I include partners in the support process too. That way, they feel more comfortable caring for their baby and supporting the recovering parent. My goal is to build your confidence while respecting your instincts, your preferences and the way you want to care for your family.

A little about me

Outside of doula work, I’m a mother of two and a business owner. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and exploring Sacramento’s food scene. I love finding a good local restaurant and sharing those discoveries through food content.

Before becoming a doula, I worked with infants in daycare and home settings. Since then, caring for little ones has been a meaningful part of my life. Meanwhile, motherhood has also taught me how much patience, flexibility and support matter, and how comforting it can be to have someone show up and help with the everyday things.

One thing I want families to know

You never have to have everything figured out before I walk through your door. You can be tired, emotional, unsure, or simply in need of a break. Either way, I will meet you with kindness and without judgment.

My hope is that you feel cared for as a person, supported as a parent and comfortable asking for what you need.

Read reviews from families, meet our Bloom Families, see all services or check the questions page. Also, a doula is a non-medical support person, so for health questions your doctor or pediatrician is always the right call. To see a little of my day, follow along on Instagram.
